DAY 1: Arrival in Trabzon and hotel check-in
Welcome to Trabzon, please! Our team will meet you when you arrive at Trabzon Airport and take you to your hotel in the heart of the city. Hotel check-ins are possible starting at 14:00. After checking in at the hotel, you can either unwind in your room for the remainder of the day or visit Meydan, the city's bustling Mecca for dining, drinking, and shopping. You can get in touch with us before or during the tour if you want to extend your stay in Trabzon.
DAY 2:Trip to Uzungol and Haldizen Valley
We'll leave for Uzungol after eating breakfast at our hotel, stopping at a tea mill as our first stop along route. After learning about the manufacturing process and the best tea-brewing techniques, there will be a shopping break at the factory's retail outlet. We'll also stop for a little period at the Sürmene Knife manufacturing outlet store if you're in the mood to shop. We'll continue via the Solakli Valley and return to Uzungol, where we'll arrive among the grandeur of old-fashioned village homes, tea, and hazelnut gardens.
The Observation Terrace is where we start our tour of Uzungol before moving on to the artificial waterfalls that were constructed to keep the lake from flooding. You will have free time to explore Uzungol, participate in numerous activities, and take in the tranquil ambience of lakeside restaurants and cafes with views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. We'll leave Uzungol at 16:00, returning to the hotel where you may relax until it's time to go for the activities the next day.
DAY 3 : Visit to the Firtina Valley and Ayder Plateau
We'll leave the hotel after breakfast and travel along the coast to the Ayder Plateau before arriving in the Frtna Valley. We will continue to Ayder Plateau after taking a stop in Frtna Valley, where you may engage in activities like ziplining, swinging, and rafting.
We shall be led by the energetic Frtna River down the amlhemşin route, passing through one of the 200 biologically significant locations in the world, and arriving at the Ayder Plateau. Following our visit to the magnificent Gelintulu Waterfall, which is situated 1400 meters above sea level at the base of the Kaçkar Mountain, you will have some free time to further explore the plateau. You can take a leisurely stroll and sip tea or coffee while admiring the Gelintulu Waterfall during your spare time.
We will meet at the tour bus at 16:00 and depart from Ayder Plateau after touring and leisure time. Our visit of the Ayder Plateau ends in Trabzon after a stop that was essential en route. As a joyful day comes to a conclusion, we'll head back to the hotel and provide free time till the departure the following day.
DAY 4: Sumela Monastery, Zigana, Hamsikoy, and Karaca Cave Tour
We'll leave the hotel for the Sumela Monastery tour after breakfast. We will reach the Altindere National Park after a pleasant hour-long ride. We'll take the National Park van to the Sumela Monastery and then proceed on a 300-meter forest trail. Historical aqueducts, stone steps, and visitor social areas await you at the trail's end. We'll take a brief break in the social area, taking in the scenery and environment, before visiting the magnificent and inaccessible Sumela Monastery, which is reminiscent of castles from the Middle Ages.
We'll tour the Sumela Monastery's main rock church, chapels, dormitories for students, library, guesthouse, spring, and many more areas. Following the visit, we will board our tour vehicle once more and go back to Zigana Pass. On the way, we'll stop for lunch at a nearby eatery.
One of the most significant Silk Road passes, the Zigana Pass, has historically provided access from Eastern Anatolia to Western locations like Iran. On Zigana Pass is also where you'll find the 14.5 km New Zigana Tunnel, the longest road tunnel in all of Europe that just recently opened. Following our passage via the New Zigana Tunnel, we will reach Karaca Cave. Our next trip is Karaca Cave, which is renowned for its travertine, stalactite, and stalagmite formations that resemble an art gallery. We'll take a break at a factory outlet store offering the renowned regional "pestil" and "köme" delicacies after the cave excursion.
Torul Glass Terrace is our next stop. We'll visit the Glass Terrace before going to Hamsikoy. The Historical (Old) Zigana Road, also known as Hamsikoy, offers breathtaking vistas. Without a doubt, we'll indulge in Hamsikoy's renowned rice pudding.
At the end of the tour our drivers will take you to the airport for your Istanbul flight.
